Phoebe Carolyn Moore

Phoebe Carolyn Moore, 74, of Sedalia, passed away Friday, October 9, 2020 at Bothwell Regional Health Center.

She was born June 26, 1946 in Phelps, KY, a daughter of Everett and Pearl Ann (Charles) Dotson.  On June 29, 1968 in Phelps, KY, she married Jimmy Moore who preceded her in death on May 7, 2013.

Phoebe was a member of Broadway Presbyterian Church in Sedalia and worked as a RN and Nursing Supervisor at Bothwell Regional Health Center for many years.  She liked collecting Cherished Teddies, stained glass and roses were here favorite flower.  Phoebe loved spending as much time with her family as she could.

Survivors include one son, Kenneth Alan Moore; one daughter Lisa Ann Whiteman (Fiancé Tommy Burgess) of Sedalia; two sisters, Faye Fritsche and Judy Christmas; one grandson, Colten Ethan Moore.

In addition to both of her parents and her husband she was preceded in death by one infant son, five brothers and four sisters.

Graveside services will be held at the Houstonia Cemetery and are pending at this time.

Memorial contributions are suggested to the family.

Arrangements are in the care of Heckart Funeral Home in Sedalia.

  2. Lisa, So very sorry for the loss of your Mom. You are in our thoughts and prayers. What a devoted daughter you are as she resided at Fairview. Her room always showed the love you poured into her and your frequent calls know they brightened her day. She had such a giving heart and shared her love with our family over the years. We share in your sorrow but what a comfort in heaven your parents are together again, she missed Jim so much. God bless you sweet lady .

  5. My thoughts and prayers go out to the family. Phoebe was a special lady who dedicated her life caring for others. Learned a lot from her on the 3-11 shift at BRHC.

  6. Loved working with Phoebe. She was my nursing supervisor for many years. She was such a wonderful nurse and friend. Also loved taking care of her at Fair View. We shared many memories and laughs about “the good old days”. She will be missed.
