Sedalia

William ‘Mack’ Parrish, 70, of Sedalia, passed away Wednesday, January 17, 2024 at his home.

He was born February 1, 1953, in Sedalia, MO, a son of the late Philip R. and Dorthy Gene (Lower) Parrish.

He was a man of simple pleasures, who found joy in the company of his family and the tranquility of nature.

He was a devoted father to his son and daughter, whom he loved deeply. His love for his children was evident in every aspect of his life.

Born and raised in the heartland, he grew up playing baseball, hunting birds and deer, and basking in the sun on a beach. These early experiences instilled in him a love for the outdoors, a passion that he carried with him throughout his life.

He was an avid fisherman, who loved to bass and crappie fish at Table Rock Lake in Missouri. These fishing trips were more than just a hobby; they were a tradition, a time for bonding, laughter, and creating memories with family and friends.

His spirit will live on in the hearts of those who knew him, and his legacy will continue to inspire those who were touched by his kindness and love.

Let us honor his life by living ours with the same passion, joy, and love that he exemplified in his.

Survivors include two children Ryan Parrish (Ali), and Jill Miller (Jake), of Shawnee, Kansas; a brother Keith Parrish, of Sedalia; and two grandchildren Jack and Nora Miller.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his twin brother, Philip ‘Mark’ Parrish.

Visitation service will begin at 11:00 with a Memorial service to follow at 11:30 Saturday, January 27, 2024 at Heckart Funeral Home.

Arrangements are under the direction of Heckart Funeral Home and Cremation Services.

Rest in peace, dear father, brother, and friend. You will be deeply missed, but your spirit will forever live on in our hearts.
