William A. Carver

William A. Carver (Bill) of Florence, MO passed away July 27, 2025 at his home.

He was born Dec. 25, 1934, in Sedalia, MO. He was the son of Harlin A. Carver and Lela Mae Thompson Carver of Florence, MO.

He is survived by his wife of 46 years Shirley J. Carver of Florence MO; and by two children: his son, Rusty and wife Linda Carver of Sedalia, MO, and a daughter, Ranee James of Stover MO; along with his sister, Clara Johns of Versailles, MO. Bill was blessed with a large number of grandkids and great grandkids.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sons: Randy Carver, Rick Carver, CJ Batye; a daughter, Vicky Brown; his twin brother, Willard Carver, and brother, Lee Olin.

Bill spent 35 years with Clarkson Construction of K.C. as a heavy equipment operator. After retirement he worked on the Missouri State Fair Grounds. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and time with his family and grandkids.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. Friday, August 1, 2025, at Heckart Funeral Home in Sedalia, MO.

Graveside services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Friday, August 1, 2025, at Bethlehem Baptist Cemetery in Florence, MO.

Casket bearers will be Scott Carver, Chris Carver, Kelly Poe, Jim Poe, Jesse Douglas, and Jonathan Wright.

Memorials are suggested to Bethlehem Baptist Cemetery.
