Walter James “Jim” Miller

Walter James “Jim” Miller, 71, of Macon, passed away Monday, September 18, 2023, at Macon Health Care Center.

He was born December 27, 1951, in Sedalia, a son of the late John Thomas and Lucille (Calhoun) Miller.

Jim served in the US Navy until he was medically discharged.

In his younger years, he worked for John Deere. Later, he worked at the sheltered workshop while he lived in Hannibal.

He enjoyed knitting caps for people at the nursing home and reading.

Survivors include a brother Tommy (Illa) Miller, of Clinton; five nephews; several great-nieces and nephews; and a cousin, Martha Lopez.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Anna Lucille Sharpe.

Graveside service will be 11:00 am Thursday, September 21, 2023, at Sunset Hills Cemetery, Warrensburg.

There will be no visitation.
