Thomas J. Nelson
Thomas Joseph Nelson, 54, of LaMonte, passed away Thursday, December 16, 2021 at his home.
He was born February 16, 1967, a son of Merle R. and Elizabeth A. Breshears Nelson.
Tom attended LaMonte High School. He worked at Sedalia Auto Auction until his health declined. He enjoyed fishing and taking walks. He loved spending time with his family and playing with his nieces and nephews.
Survivors include his mother, Elizabeth “Betty” Nelson, of LaMonte; four siblings, Jeffrey Nelson (Jaynie), of St. Louis, Donald Nelson, of Sedalia, Daniel Nelson, of LaMonte, and Jackie Wessel (David), of LaMonte; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Merle Nelson.
Visitation will be 5:00pm-7:00pm, Wednesday, December 29, 2021 at Heckart Funeral Home.
Graveside service will be at a later date at LaMonte Cemetery.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the family in care of Heckart Funeral Home.
