Tessie Elizabeth Hall age 87, of Osawatomie, Kansas, died Wednesday November 8, 2023 at Olathe Medical Center surrounded by her family. She was born on December 21, 1935 in Pleasant Green, Missouri, one of eleven children of William Edward and Louetta Maude (Shumate) Pulley. On October 6, 1956 in Las Vegas, Nevada she was united in married to George Lee Hall who preceded her in death on April 15, 1996. To this union seven children were born. Tessie also gained two children.

Tessie grew up in and around Sedalia, Missouri before moving to California with her parents in the mid 1950’s.  She enjoyed knitting, playing cards and BINGO. Tessie watched Young and the Restless and listened to country music. She cooked for her big family and could make something delicious with little ingredients. She always had cucumbers & onions, tomato sandwiches and bologna salad. Tessie was feisty but loving.   

Tessie is survived by her sister Marty Walkington of Sedalia, Missouri; brothers William “Sonny” Pulley of Salem, Oregon, and Lynn Dean Pulley of Prescott, Arizona; children Debbie Skeen (Harold) of Rockaway Beach, Missouri, William “Bill” Hall (Marilyn) of Osawatomie, Kansas, Brenda Hall of Osawatomie, Kansas, George Hall (Leann) of Fontana, Kansas, James “Jimmy” Hall of Osawatomie, Kansas, and Lucy Byrd of Harrisonville, Missouri; daughter-in-law Glenda Hall of San Diego, California; 30 grandchildren, 56 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great grandkids and numerous nieces and nephews.  

She was preceded in death by her parents, twin sister Bessie Pulley, sisters Shirley Tillery, Sybil Delcour, Millie Pulley; brothers Dwight Wayne Pulley, and Willie Pulley; children David Wayne Hall, Sherry Thompson and Danny Joe Hall; granddaughter Rushell Jackson (Crosby) and great granddaughter Nova Hinton. 

Visitation will be 5:00-7:00 pm, Wednesday, November 15, 2023 at Eddy-Birchard Funeral Home, Osawatomie, Kansas. There will be a second visitation at Heckart Funeral Home, Sedalia, from 5:00-7:00 pm Thursday, November 16, 2023.

Graveside service will be 1:00 pm Friday, November 16, 2023 at New Bethel Cemetery where she will be laid to rest next to her husband.

Arrangements are under the direction of Eddy-Birchard Funeral Home. Local arrangements are under the direction of Heckart Funeral Home.
