Shirley Ann Homan, 86, of Sedalia, passed away Tuesday, December 23, 2025, at her home surrounded by her family.

She was born October 26, 1939, in Sedalia, daughter of Charles W. and Mary E. (Dillard) Cusick.

On August 7, 1959, she married Ronald E. Homan, who preceded her in death on October 7, 2020.

Shirley was a graduate of Smith-Cotton High School and retired from Southwestern Bell Telephone after many years of service. In retirement, she served as director of Meals on Wheels. She enjoyed fishing and had a love for animals. Above all, Shirley was a devoted wife, mother, and “Granny,” roles she cherished and carried out with love.

Surviving are three children, Sherri Schreiber (Gene) and Julie Meyer (Bucky), all of Sedalia, and Mike Homan (Deana), of Green Ridge; 14 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Albert Cusick, of Kansas City.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Alan Cusick, Mary Evelyn Diller, and Butch Sprinkle, who was raised by her parents.

No services are planned at this time.
