Shawna L. Wilson-Paredes

Shawna Lynn Wilson-Paredes, 49, of Sedalia, Missouri, passed away on January 17, 2026, surrounded by her loving husband and family. She is survived by her husband, Roy Wilson Jr.; her children, Keelan and Alyssa Miller; her brother, Jesse Paredes Jr.; and her loyal companion, Gabbana.

Shawna was born on August 18, 1976, in Columbia, MO, to Patricia Bennett and Jesse Paredes Sr. She married Roy Wilson Jr. on October 9, 2021, at The Foundry in Sedalia, MO.

She graduated from Smith-Cotton High School in 1995 and received her degree from the University of Missouri. She pursued a career in management, culminating in her role as Store Manager at Tractor Supply Co. in Marshall, MO.

Shawna embraced life with curiosity and intention, finding joy in travel and new experiences while remaining deeply committed to her work, her friends, her family, and her faith.

Although her life cannot be defined by simple words, she will be remembered for the joy she brought into everyone’s lives. One cherished memory is of Shawna and Roy in Breckenridge, where they watched the snow fall as she enjoyed an Old Fashion by the fire.

Remaining to cherish Shawna’s memory are her husband, Roy Jr.; her brother, Jesse Jr.; her children, Keelan and Alyssa; and the Paredes and Wilson families.

Preceding her in death are her mother, Patricia Bennett-Paredes; her father, Jesse Paredes Sr.; and her grandparents, Stella E. Paredes; Genevieve Weeks; Sebastian G. Paredes; and George Bennett.

A celebration of Shawna’s life will be held at 3:00 pm Saturday, January 24, 2026, at The Foundry, 324 W. 2nd St., Sedalia, MO.
