Sandy Kaye Thomas, 66, of Sedalia passed away at Bothwell Regional Health Center on Friday, November 22, 2024.
She was born September 3, 1958, in Sanford, FL to Elmer and Clara Tyner.
She had a heart full of kindness and an infectious sense of humor. A lover of music and movies, she could often be found reminiscing about her favorite memories or enjoying the simple pleasures in life, like the beach and her beloved animals. Her greatest joy came from her family—especially her children and grandchildren, whom she cherished deeply. She was a devoted caretaker, always putting others first. Her love for The Lord was a guiding light throughout her life. Sandy will be remembered for her warmth, her laughter, and the love she so freely gave to those around her.
She will be fondly remembered by her fiancé, Magnus J. Mires; her sisters, Linda Tyner, and Candy Lawall; brothers, James Tyner (Wife Laly Tyner), and Dean Tyner (Wife Terri Tyner); daughters, Hilda Horner (husband Tommy Horner), and Kendra Dorr (husband Andrew Dorr); sons, Heath Todd (Wife April Todd), and Joshua Smith (Wife Andrea Smith); grandchildren, Carrigan Horner, Heaven Wilkerson (fiancé Denis Antonov), Heath Troy Todd Jr, Tyler Todd, Quentin Seals, Tylan Horner, Noah Fiedler, Jake Smith, Ollie Smith and Eden Dorr; great grandchildren, Cylan Orchard and Dmitry Antonov.
She was preceded in death by her father, Elmer Tyner; mother, Clara Lucille Villegas; and her brother, Larry Tyner.
Cremation arrangements are in the care of Heckart Funeral Home. The family will be holding a private celebration of life at this time.
