Roy Lee Logan, 90, of Sedalia, passed away Sunday, August 23, 2026, surrounded by his family.

He was born January 8, 1936, in Sedalia, the son of the late Ruben James and Dorothy Viola (Spires) Logan. On August 17, 1979, in Sedalia, he married Lila Pearl Reine, who preceded him in death on July 7, 2026.

Roy served his country honorably in the United States Marine Corps from 1957 to 1975, retiring after more than 22 years of service. He was patriotic and proud of his Marine Corps service and enjoyed anything related to the Marines. He also enjoyed camping, fishing and music. Most of all, Roy was happiest when surrounded by his family, especially during large family gatherings.

Survivors include a son, Duane Logan of Stover; four stepchildren, Brenda Rodgers, Tammie Salmons (Hank), Lisa Lamm (Rob) and Leroy Dillon Jr., all of Sedalia; one sister, Betty Upton (Clyde) of Higginsville; 18 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by two daughters, Leta Logan and Belinda Stevens; six siblings, Naomi Schelp, Joseph Logan, Tommy Logan, Donnie Logan, Jean Logan and Vernon Logan.

Visitation will begin at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, August 29, 2026, at Sedalia Community of Christ, with the funeral service to follow at 10:15 a.m. Marilyn Grechus and Clint Reine will officiate.

Burial will follow in Crown Hill Cemetery with full military honors conducted at graveside.

Memorial contributions are suggested to Sedalia Community of Christ in care of Heckart Funeral Home.
