Rodrigo B. Perez

Rodrigo Briones Perez, 78, of Sedalia, passed away Tuesday, May 13, 2025, at Bothwell Regional Health Center.

He was born on May 5, 1947, in San Jose, Batangas, Philippines, one of twelve children of Ponciano and Crisanta (Briones) Perez.

In 1972, Rodrigo married the love of his life, Sonia Ramos. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and went on to work for General Electric, General Motors, and later for a mail house. Known for his strong work ethic, Rodrigo enjoyed tinkering and working with his hands.

Rodrigo was of the Catholic faith. He enjoyed watching sports and listening to music, and will be remembered for his easygoing and happy nature.

He is survived by his wife, Sonia; three sons, Rod Perez (Kim) of Sedalia, Alvin Perez (Reena) of the Philippines, and Eric Perez (Ron) of the Philippines; five beloved grandchildren, Austin, Sophia, Joaquin, Julia, and Matthew; and one sister, Dory Makalintal of the Philippines.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by ten siblings.

The family will receive friends from 4:30 to 6:00 p.m. Saturday, May 31, 2025, at Heckart Funeral Home, where a prayer service will begin at 6:00 p.m.
