Pearl Detta Ross, 97, of La Monte, MO, passed away Tuesday, June 11, 2019, at Bothwell Regional Health Center in Sedalia, MO.
She was born March 25, 1922, in Milan, MO, a daughter of Marshall James and Detta Pearl (Bowers) Hall.
On January 15, 1936, in Kansas City, KS, she married John Aaron Ross, who preceded her in death on March 23, 1997.
Pearl was a homemaker. She enjoyed doing word searches, puzzles, reading and watching the Game Show Network. She was a member of the Pentecostal Church of God in La Monte.
Surviving are nine children: Mary Clapp (Newman), of Celina, OH, Ruth Damron, of La Monte, MO, John E. Ross (Nancy), of Camdenton, MO, Teresa Hatfield (Troy), of Mt. Sterling, KY, Tom Ross (Kylie), of Harvey, Western Australia, Donna Motika (Michael), of Pensacola, FL, Ronda Davis (Mark), of Knob Noster, MO, Byard Ross (Kathy), of Blue Springs, and Eddie Ross, of Sedalia; a daughter-in-law, Sybil Ross; 22 grandchildren; 43 great-grandchildren; 13 great-great-grandchildren; and numerous other family.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Elaine Richardson; a son, George Ross; an infant daughter, Betty Ann Ross; two sons-in-law, Leo Richardson and Doug Damron; a granddaughter, Jackie Richardson; six brothers, Marshall, George, Frank, Joe, Charlie and Luther; and a sister, Mary.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, June 14, at Heckart Funeral Home, with Tom Hopkins officiating.
Casket bearers will be grandchildren.
Burial will be in Crown Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until service time Friday at Heckart Funeral Home.
Memorials are suggested to La Monte Alumni Association.
