Nancy E. Gravatt
Nancy Ellen Gravatt, 82, of Hughesville, MO, passed away Friday, April 30, 2021 at her home.
She was born May 23, 1938 in Octavia, OK, a daughter of Walter and Arlie (Weatherby) Snitker. On January 27, 1957 at Temple Baptist Church in Kansas City, MO, she married Carl Alan Gravatt, who survives of the home.
Nancy was a member of Hughesville Baptist Church. She enjoyed playing the piano and had played for the Mt. Olive Quartet and many churches while her husband Carl preached.
In addition to her husband Carl of 64 years, survivors include three children, Ruth Mason, Stephen Gravatt and Phillip Gravatt all of Hughesville, MO; two brothers, Dr. Gaylord Snitker and Dwight Snitker; two sisters, Jaunita Maggard and Wilma Brown; two grandchildren, Robert Mason and Sarah Dement; three great-grandchildren, Phoenix Dement, Riley Dement and Willow Dement.
In addition to both of her parents she was preceded in death by one son, Alan Gravatt; one infant brother, Walter Snitker, Jr.
Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. until service time on Friday, May 7, 2021 at Heckart Funeral Home in Sedalia.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home with Rev. Robert Sisney officiating. Burial will follow in the Hughesville High Point Cemetery.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the Alzheimer’s Association.
