Michael L. Schuber

Michael Leo Schuber, 74, of Sedalia, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, July 15, 2026, near Hughesville.

He was born June 11, 1952, in Sedalia, the son of James Leo Schuber and Helen Pauline “Nellie” (Morarity) Schuber.

Mike was a 1971 graduate of Northwest High School. He later earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Husbandry from Central Missouri State University, where he was a member of the ROTC. He was a lifelong farmer on the family farm and retired after many years as a postal carrier.

Mike was born and raised in the Catholic faith. He enjoyed watching NASCAR, Survivor, and Game of Thrones. He also enjoyed traveling and appreciated his free time in retirement. Above all, he cherished time with his family, especially his great-nieces and great-nephews. He was devoted to them, always looking out for their well-being. Mike will be remembered as a loyal, hardworking, and patient man with the littles.

Surviving are two brothers, Dennis Schuber and Wayne Schuber (Cheryl), both of Hughesville; two sisters, Mary Beatty (Tom) and Maureen Streb, both of Sedalia; two sisters-in-law, Virginia Schuber and Tonya Johnson; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Leo Schuber and Kenny Schuber; and a brother-in-law, Steve Streb.

The family will receive friends beginning at 10:00 a.m. Monday, July 20, 2026, at Heckart Funeral Home, where funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m.

Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
