Mary V. Gaylord, 82, of Sedalia, passed away Wednesday, September 3, 2025, at Golden Age Living Center in Stover.
She was born July 6, 1943, the daughter of the late Fred and Margaret (Wheeler) Ridenour.
Family was the center of Mary’s life. In her younger years, she was the life of the party, often behind the wheel of her sports cars, and she loved teaching her nieces and nephews how to dance. She had a lively spirit and a deep affection for her family.
In later years, Mary enjoyed reading and relaxing with her favorite game shows and crime dramas on television.
She is survived by several nieces and nephews who will cherish her memory.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, George Ridenour, Joann Lindsey, Pearl Barker, Rose McGirl, and Shirley Hensley.
Celebration of Mary’s Life will be held from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm, Thursday, September 18, 2025 at the Heckart Family Center, 915 S. Ohio Ave., Sedalia.
Interment will take place at a later date in Crown Hill Cemetery, Sedalia.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the Sedalia Animal Shelter, in care of Heckart Funeral Home.
