Martha A. Bridges, 94, of Sedalia, passed away Friday, January 22, 2021, at Bothwell Regional Health Center.
She was born on October 12, 1926, in Augusta, GA, the daughter of John Alvin Butler and Jessie (Jamison) Butler. She was married to William F. Bridges, Sr. on November 4, 1944 in New London, CT. William preceded her in death on April 30, 1998.
Martha moved to Sedalia, MO in 1999 and joined the Wesley United Methodist Church. She belonged to the UMW, Wesley Fellowship Sunday School class. She headed Meals on Wheels for 12 years. She joined Bothwell Auxiliary in December 2003.
She was preceded in death by her six brothers and two granddaughters.
She has four children, William F. Bridges, Carol Ann Carver, David L. Bridges and Bonita Sue Crisler.
Martha has elected to be cremated and a memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, February 13, 2021 at Wesley United Methodist Church.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the church.
Arrangements are under the direction of Heckart Funeral Home.
