Marjorie Ellen Smith, 93, of Sedalia, died Friday, July 9, 2021, at Sylvia G. Thompson Residence Center.
She was born August 24, 1927, in Waverly, IA, a daughter of Clifford Van and Ella Louise (Black) Pickard. On October 31, 1948, in Hampton, IA, she married Lloyd L. Smith who preceded her in death.
Marjorie attended Epworth United Methodist Church. She was a member of the Henry County Extension Club, Red Hat Society, and Windsor Garden Club. Marjorie enjoyed painting, reading, knitting, and working crossword puzzles.
Survivors include three children, Tom Smith (Kathy) of Green Ridge, Sandy Smith (Tim Scanlon) of Colorado Springs, CO, Gerald Lloyd Smith (Pamela) of Clinton; five grandchildren; eight step grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one brother, James Pickard.
In addition to both of her parents and her husband she was preceded in death by one brother Robert Pickard.
Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, July 12, 2021, at Laurel Oak Cemetery in Windsor.
Memorial contributions are suggested to Crossroads Hospice.
Arrangements are in the care of Heckart Funeral Home in Sedalia.
