Maria Del Roció "Rosie" Hernandez Orozco

Maria Del Roció Hernandez Orozco, “Rosie,” 52, of Sedalia, passed away Sunday, May 3, 2026, at Bothwell Regional Health Center after a battle with cancer.

She was born March 8, 1974, in Mexico City, Mexico, the daughter of Manuel Hernandez and Maria D. Hernandez Orozco.

Rosie was a well-known and beloved waitress in Sedalia and a member of St. Vincent de Paul Parish. She enjoyed crocheting and cooking, but most of all, spending time with her grandchildren.

Rosie was kind and always smiling. She kept a positive outlook, even when things were difficult, and was always willing to help others. To know her was to love her.

Survivors include a son, Ruben Guadalupe Hernandez; a daughter, Brenda Hernandez; her father, Manuel; three grandchildren, Emmabel, Andrew, and Bailey; and a sister, Isela.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Maria; a son, Jonathan Hernandez; and a brother, Ruben.

Visitation will be held from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. Friday, May 8, 2026, at St. Vincent de Paul St. Patrick Chapel, 415 E. 4th St., Sedalia, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 3:00 p.m.

Arrangements are in the care of Heckart Funeral Home.

María del Rocío Hernández Orozco, “Rosie”, de 52 años, de Sedalia, falleció el domingo 3 de mayo de 2026 en Bothwell Regional Health Center, después de una batalla contra el cáncer.

Nació el 8 de marzo de 1974 en la Ciudad de México, México, hija de Manuel Hernández y María D. Hernández Orozco.

Rosie era una mesera muy conocida y querida en Sedalia y miembro de la parroquia San Vicente de Paúl. Disfrutaba tejer a crochet y cocinar, pero sobre todo, pasar tiempo con sus nietos.

Rosie era amable y siempre tenía una sonrisa. Mantenía una actitud positiva, incluso en momentos difíciles, y siempre estaba dispuesta a ayudar a los demás. Conocerla era quererla.

Le sobreviven un hijo, Rubén Guadalupe Hernández; una hija, Brenda Hernández; su padre, Manuel; tres nietos, Emmabel, Andrew y Bailey; y una hermana, Isela.

Le precedieron en la muerte su madre, María; un hijo, Jonathan Hernández; y un hermano, Rubén.

La visitación se llevará a cabo de 1:00 a 3:00 p.m. el viernes 8 de mayo de 2026, en la Capilla San Patricio de St. Vincent de Paul, 415 E. 4th St., Sedalia, seguida de una Misa de Funeral Cristiano a las 3:00 p.m.
