Louis K. Ahlemeyer, 89, of Sedalia, passed away Friday, December 12, 2025.
He was born April 2, 1936, in Leslie, Missouri, a son of the late Walter and Olga (Froelker) Ahlemeyer. On May 30, 1964, at Boeuff Presbyterian Church in Gerald, Missouri, he was united in marriage to Nadine Wildebrandt, who survives of the home.
Louis served his country honorably in the United States Navy from 1954 to 1958. He later attended Southwest Missouri State University (now Missouri State University).
In 1963, Louis began a distinguished 50-year career in banking at Citizens Bank of Gerald. He went on to serve as president of banks in Warrenton, Carrollton, and Sedalia. Throughout his life, he maintained a deep appreciation for agriculture, farming, and cattle, a dream he was able to fully pursue following his retirement from banking.
Louis was active in civic and professional service, serving on the Federal Home Loan Bank Board, the City of Sedalia Water Board, the Pettis County Economic Development Board, and several bank boards. He was a past member of Rotary International, the Veterans of Foreign Wars, and the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks in Warrenton.
In addition to his wife, Nadine, survivors include a daughter, Jennifer L. Roth, and her husband, David, and their children, Clayton B. Roth and Carli M. Roth, all of Manchester, Missouri; a son, Kyle L. Ahlemeyer, of St. Peters, Missouri; a brother, Milfred Ahlemeyer, and his wife, Marilyn, of Kennewick, Washington; several nieces, nephews, and cousins; and many friends and colleagues.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two siblings and their spouses, Walter Ahlemeyer and his wife, Marie, and Thelma Fogerson and her husband, Peter; and two nephews, Dale Greife and Steve Greife.
Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, December 20, 2025, at Heckart Funeral Home, followed by a celebration of life service at 11:00 a.m. Full military honors will be conducted by the United States Navy and VFW Post No. 2591 following the service.
Burial will take place at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to the College of the Ozarks or Show Me Christian Youth Home, in care of Heckart Funeral Home.
