Lora L. Berry, 64, of Sedalia, passed away Monday, October 9, 2023.
She was born January 21, 1959, in Sedalia, a daughter of the late Lawrence S. and Lenamae L. (Boly) Gills. On June 24, 1994, in Sedalia, she married Darryl W. Berry who preceded her in death on June 28, 2023.
Lora was a 1977 graduate of Smith-Cotton High School. She was a member of Broadway Baptist Church. She was employed by Inter-State Studio and worked as a green screen editor.
Survivors include two siblings, Daniel Gills, of Sedalia, and Julia Osbourn, of Mora; two brothers-in-law, Ray Donlon and Russ Phillips; six nieces and nephews, Katherine McNelly, Jon Burkey, Sarah Stubblefield (David), Jacob Rumsey (Sara), Jennifer Gibson (Trey) and Jeremiah Miller; six great nieces and nephews; and one great-great nephew.
In addition to her husband and parents, Lora was preceded in death by three siblings Lawrence Gills, Jr., Joan Burkey and her husband, John Burkey, Martha Phillips and her husband, Paul Sprinkle; two brothers-in-law, Don “Ozzy” Osbourn and Ronnie Berry; and a sister-in-law, Teresa Donlon.
Graveside service will be 1:00 pm Saturday, October 14, 2023 at Crown Hill Cemetery with Rev. Dr. Nicholas Gray officiating.
Memorial contributions are suggested to Broadway Baptist Church in care of Heckart Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
