Lisa A. Whiteman

Lisa Ann Whiteman, 57, of Sedalia, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, July 26, 2026, at her home.

She was born March 6, 1969, in Minot, North Dakota, daughter of Jimmy and Phoebe (Dotson) Moore.

Lisa loved animals and treasured the companionship of her pets. She enjoyed watching cooking videos, watching movies with Tommy, and treating herself to ice cream, her favorite comfort food. She was proud to celebrate 18 years of sobriety and was a longtime friend of Bill W. She had an inner beauty that was unmatched. She was a member of Broadway Presbyterian Church.

Surviving are her fiancé, Tommy Burgess, of the home; a brother, Kenneth Moore; an aunt, Kathy Freeman; three uncles, Ernie Moore, Curtis Moore, Jr. and Donnie Moore; and several cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents and several aunts and uncles.

A celebration of Lisa's life will be held at a later date.
