Lila Pearl Logan, 84, of Sedalia, passed away Tuesday, July 7, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born December 23, 1941, in Sedalia, a daughter of the late Robert and Alma (Weaver) Reine. On August 17, 1979, in Sedalia, she married Roy Logan, who survives of the home.
Lila was a faithful member of Sedalia Community of Christ. She devoted her life to her family as a homemaker, lovingly raising her children and creating a welcoming home for those she loved.
She enjoyed fishing, camping, working word puzzles, and watching westerns with Roy. Music was another passions, and she loved playing the keyboard. While living at Primrose Retirement Community, she looked forward to watching the "Cowboy Don" show and visits from other entertainers.
Lila never met a stranger. Much to the surprise of her family, she would often invite people she had just met to join them for holiday dinners. She was an outstanding cook and was especially known for her fried chicken, which she jokingly used as a bargaining tool to persuade family members to help with projects around the house. Patience was never one of her strengths, and she wasn't afraid to encourage others to get things done on her timetable. Above all, she treasured time with her family and looked forward to every family gathering.
In addition to her husband, Roy, survivors include four children, Brenda Rodgers, Tammie Salmons (Hank), Lisa Lamm (Rob), and Leroy Dillon, Jr., all of Sedalia; a stepson, Duane Logan, of Stover; a brother, Albert Reine (Pat), of Sedalia; 18 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two stepdaughters, Leta Logan and Belinda Stevens.
Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m. Friday, July 10, 2026, at Sedalia Community of Christ, with the funeral service following at 2:00 p.m. Marilyn Grechus and Clint Reine will officiate.
Burial will be in Crown Hill Cemetery.
Memorial contributions are suggested to Sedalia Community of Christ, in care of Heckart Funeral Home.
