In Loving Memory …
Legora B. Ray, 91, formerly of Sedalia, passed away Monday, December 10, 2018 at Grace Gardens of Leawood, KS.
She was born February 19, 1927 in Frankenstein, MO. On June 19, 1947 in Frankenstein, she married Russell L. Ray who preceded her in death on July 15, 2009.
Legora was a member of Sacred Heart Church and worked for Interstate Studio’s for many years. She spent many hours volunteering with Hospice and at Bothwell Regional Health Center. Legora enjoyed gardening, needle work and cooking.
Survivors include three daughters, Vicki Daigle (John) of Evergreen, CO, Becki McEver (Mike) of Dallas, TX, Donna Compton (Dan) of Lenexa, KS; one son, David Ray (Sharon) Tulsa, OK, nine grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; one sister, Viola Shaffer of Union, MO, one brother, Bud Jeagers of Linn, MO and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to both of her parents and her husband she was preceded in death by six brothers and sisters.
Visitation will be held from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. Saturday, December 15, 2018 at the Heckart Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Ben Bock, Chad McEver, Brandon Ray, Christian Hunt, Adam McKelvey, Nick Reyes and Adam Graves.
Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, at the funeral home with burial to follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions are suggested to Crossroads Hospice.
