Leanna M. Wyrick

Leanna Marie Wyrick, 51, of Sedalia, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, August 29, 2025, at University of Missouri Hospital in Columbia.

She was born November 29, 1973, in Kansas City, KS, a daughter of Ronald Swafford and Connie M. (Church) Stafford. On June 15, 1991, in Eldon, she was united in marriage to Gregory A. Wyrick, Sr.

Leanna’s life was centered around her family, who meant everything to her. She cherished time spent with them—whether in the simple moments of daily life or during holiday gatherings. She was lovingly known as “Nana” to her nieces and nephews, “Amma” to her grandchildren, and was “Mom” to many of her children’s friends. She will be remembered for her loving nature, outspoken spirit, and her love of Disney.

Survivors include her husband, Greg, of the home; three children, Gregory Wyrick, Jr. (Kortney), of Cole Camp, Zara Hoover (Raymond), of Sedalia, and Joshua Wyrick (Aubrey), of Knob Noster; ten grandchildren, Mackenzie, Raelynn, Killion, Loretta, Troy, Achilles, Georgia, Adalynn, Oaklee, and Gregory Michael; her sister, Elizabeth Cleaver, of Cole Camp; her nieces and nephews; two half-brothers, Stephen Swafford and Jason Swafford; a half-sister, Lynette Happe.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

The family will hold a celebration of life at a later date.

Cremation arrangements are in the care of Heckart Funeral Home.
