Kletis Wills, 91, of Sedalia, passed away Monday, September 30, 2024, at his home.
He was born March 4, 1933, in Edwards, son of Percy and Ellen (Burns) Wills.
On November 29, 1952, in Harrison, AR, he was united in marriage to Joyce M. (Miller), who preceded him in death on September 20, 2020.
Kletis worked for LeRoy Moon Construction for many years, building foundations at the Air Force base, and homes in the Warsaw area. He later worked as a mechanic for Stevenson Tractor Company. He was skilled at fixing things, whether it be electronics or lawn mowers. He was a hardworking man and loved to stay busy. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
He and Joyce enjoyed going to auctions and would set up at flea markets where they made many friends. He also loved to fish.
Survivors include two daughters, Debra Woodall of Louisiana, MO, Terrie Blankenship (Stan) of Sedalia, MO; six grandchildren, Richard Eugene Lortz, Edward Michael Woodall (Crystal), Ramsey Dickerman (Jason), K. Michael Blankenship (Heather) and Kristina Adams (Gary); eight great-grandchildren, Payton and Marshall Woodall, Reeve and Rayne Dickerman, Bryce and Brannock Blankenship, Gage Edwards and Grace Wetzel; two sisters, Belva Box and Virgie Price; and a brother-in-law, Norman Cree. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Elva Cree; son-in-law, Randall Woodall; and brothers-in-law, Wayne Price and Floyd Box.
The family will receive friends from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Saturday, October 5, 2024, at Heckart Funeral Home, where funeral services will begin at 10:30 a.m. Saturday.
Casket bearers will be Rick Lortz, Mike Blankenship, Michael Woodall, Bryce Blankenship, Gage Edwards, and Brannock Blankenship.
Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
