Kerry W. Lappat

Kerry Wayne Lappat, 60, of Sedalia, passed away Monday, January 8, 2024, at CenterPoint Medical Center in Independence.

He was born January 10, 1963, in Sedalia, son of Cecil G. and Frances M. (Shoemaker) Lappat.

Kerry worked as a carpenter. He had a big heart and would help anybody he could. He loved his family and his dogs, and enjoyed fishing.

Surviving are three siblings, Cheryl Curry (Fred) of Otterville, Mark Lappat (Colleen) of Sedalia, and Jerry Lappat of Sedalia; a sister-in-law, Lillie Monteer; two stepsons, Dusty Parish (Jamie) and Josh Keeran; three step-granddaughters, Skyler, Brianna and Desirea; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, James Lappat; and a step-grandson, Daylon Parish.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
