Kathryn A. Edwards
Kathryn Ann Edwards, 83, of Sedalia, passed away Sunday, September 5, 2021, at Osage Beach Rehabilitation and Health Care Center in Osage Beach, MO.
Katy was born October 17, 1937, in Sedalia, MO, the only daughter of Herbert and Georgia (Alexander) Kuhn. She was united in marriage in July of 1957 to Robert Edwards at the CMSU Chapel in Warrensburg.
Katy was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church, DAR and Eastern Star. She worked in various positions at Smith-Cotton High School in Sedalia for many years. Katy enjoyed gardening, flowers, reading and she loved cats. Robert and Katy spent many years volunteering together for Meals on Wheels.
In addition to her husband Robert of 64 years, she is survived by two daughters, Nancy Chapman and husband Joel of Greenwood, MO, Kristen Edwards and significant other, John Arndt of Osage Beach, MO; two grandchildren, Zachary and Megan Sanders.
Katy was preceded in death by both of her parents.
A Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Thursday, September 9, 2021, at Heckart Funeral Home in Sedalia. A private family inurnment will be held at a later time at Memorial Park Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions are suggested to Meals on Wheels and may be left in the care of Heckart Funeral Home.
