Kathleen L. Kessner
Kathleen (Kathy) Louise Parks Kessner, age 72, passed away Sunday, June 12, 2022 at her home in Columbus, Ohio. She was born January 26, 1950 in Sedalia, MO, daughter of Irvin and Elvalee (Maxwell) Parks, who preceded her in death.
She graduated from Smith Cotton High School in Sedalia, Mo in 1968. On June 14, 1969 she was united in marriage to Gary F. Kessner, who preceded her in death on April 19, 2011. She worked over forty years for Ohio Bell in Columbus, OH retiring in 2011.
Survivors are two sisters Patty (Pat) Wood of La Monte, MO and Debby (Jim) Sanders of Sedalia, MO; one brother Barry (Audrey) Parks of St Joseph, MO; many nieces and nephews, cousins, family and friends; and devoted friends/caretakers, Jamie & Jessica Eichel of Columbus, OH and their two children Anthony and Jade. Along with her husband, Gary, she was preceded in death by her parents; stepmother June Parks; maternal grandparents Lawrence & Pearl Maxwell; paternal grandparents Ural & Ella Parks, and her precious loving dogs.
Graveside services will be held at a later date at Sunset Hill Cemetery, Warrensburg, MO.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Heckart Funeral Home, Sedalia, MO.
Memorial contributions can be made to the Sedalia School District Foundation.
