Joyce F. Wright

Joyce Faye Wright, 64, of Otterville, passed away Friday, June 5, 2026, at Boone Hospital Center in Columbia.

She was born January 22, 1962, in Sedalia, the daughter of Jerry and Janice Davis.

On August 22, 1982, she married Ronald Wright. Together they shared 41 years of life and adventure before his passing in 2023.

Joyce worked a variety of jobs throughout her life, including at Print Lynx, as a tax preparer, for Here to There Towing, at Fantasia, at Inter-State Studio, and at a local gas station. She was a hard worker who rarely sat still and was always ready for the next task or challenge.

Her greatest joy was spending time with her family, especially her husband, children, and grandchildren. Joyce lived life at full speed and was always up for an adventure. She enjoyed drag racing, motorcycles, road trips, boating, catfishing, mushroom hunting, camping, and anything that brought a little excitement.

She was a member of Oak Hill Baptist Church in Somerset, Kentucky.

Surviving are three sons, Jason Davis (Autumn), of Sedalia, Ryan Wright (Cierra), of Otterville, and Peyton Wright, of Otterville; eight grandchildren, Tyler, Austin, Gage, Jayden, Jacob, Dominick, Ronan, and Remington; four great-grandchildren; siblings, Janet Sherman (Rodney), of Somerset, Kentucky, Jerry Davis (Tammy), of Otterville, Jimmie Davis (Marianne), of Sedalia, Jeff Davis, of Arkansas, and Terri Monteer (Travis), of Sedalia; and her beloved dogs, Sadie and Ellie.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her grandparents; and a great-nephew.

A celebration of Joyce's life will begin at 11:00 a.m. July 11, 2026, at the Otterville Community Building.
