Joyce Carol McConnell, 72, of Lincoln, MO, passed away Thursday, January 23, 2020 at University of Missouri Hospital in Columbia, MO.
She was born November 24, 1947 in Wauwatosa, WI, daughter of Glen and Ruth Outcalt.
On September 23, 1967 in Heartland, WI, she married Joe W. McConnell.
To Joyce family came first. She was a very generous and friendly person. She was a lover of animals and as a homemaker enjoyed crafting, doing crochet, woodworking and painting. She was a member of Windsor Calvary Baptist Church.
Surviving are her husband of 52 years, Joe, of the home; her son, Marty McConnell (Maureen McMullan), of St. Louis, MO; her granddaughter, Molly; a brother, Alan Outcalt, of Chicago, IL; and three sisters, Lynne Vich, of Fulton, MO, Arlene DeSmith, of Hermann, MO, and Janice Fischer, of Denmark, WI.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and step-father, Harold Giese.
Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 1, 2020 at Heckart Funeral Home in Sedalia, MO, with the Rev. Michael Hare officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until service time Saturday at the funeral home.
Honorary bearers will be Steve Beard, Allen McConnell and Danny Tran.
A private burial will be in Locust Hill Cemetery, Locust Hill, MO.
Memorials are suggested to the Epilepsy Foundation.
