Joshua P. Argenbright

Joshua P. Argenbright, 41, of Sedalia, passed away Saturday, December 13, 2025, at University Hospital in Columbia.

He was born July 19, 1984, in Sedalia, the son of Herb and Kelly (Childers) Argenbright.

Josh was a graduate of Smithton High School. He worked at Tigerland Motors and had recently begun a new position with Coca-Cola.

Josh loved his family and adored his two nieces. He enjoyed camping, music, gaming, and fishing, and he valued time spent with friends and family, often just talking or playing games of any kind. He had a deep love for animals, particularly his German Shepherd, Atlas, affectionately known as “Doofus.”

Josh was a gentle soul. He was funny, kind, caring, and a friend to everyone he met.

Survivors include his parents; a sister, Rachel Rioux (Jordon); two nieces, Eloise and Violet Rioux, all of Kansas City, MO; his maternal grandmother, Darlene Benware, of Sedalia; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather and paternal grandparents.

A Celebration of Josh’s Life will be held at a later date.

Josh’s beloved niece, Eloise, was treated for leukemia at Children’s Mercy Hospital. The family suggests memorials to Children’s Mercy Hospital for the oncology unit, or the Sedalia Animal Shelter in care of Heckart Funeral Home.
