Joe Morey
Howard Joseph “Joe” Morey, 54, of Sedalia, passed away Thursday, July 1, 2021, at Research Medical Center in Kansas City.
He was born February 20, 1967, in Sedalia, son of Howard Arthur and Joyce Ann (Walker) Morey.
On May 2, 1987, in Otterville, he was married to Laura Michelle (Whitsitt).
After graduating from high school, Joe went to work for Potts Roofing, which later became Division 7 Inc. He worked for 32 years until his health failed in 2017.
Joe’s hobbies included hunting, fishing, welding, and crafting items for his family and friends. He loved his family most of all.
Surviving are his wife of 34 years, Laura, of the home; three children, Howard Michael Morey (Katherine), Kimberlyn Morey and Allison Morey (Anthony Collins), all of Sedalia; seven grandchildren, Ella, Lillian, Cheryl, Howard “J.J.”, Lorelei, Addison and Hannah; and two brothers, Darren Morey and Jeff Morey.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
A visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 6, 2021, at Heckart Funeral Home.
