Jaret K. Snapp

Jaret K. Snapp, 53, of Smithton, passed away Sunday, August 1, 2021 at his home.

He was born January 31, 1968, in Sedalia, one of 13 children born to the late Roy and Virginia (Siegel) Snapp. On December 8, 1990, in Sedalia, he was married to June Cotner, who survives of the home.

He was a 1987 graduate of Northwest High School. He worked construction and for the past 11 years, worked in maintenance at the Missouri State Fairgrounds.

Jaret had many hobbies and interests including gardening, canning, and hunting. His favorite holidays were Christmas and 4

of July. He was a great cook in the kitchen and also enjoyed hosting fish fries and barbecues. He loved spending time with his family, especially his granddaughter, Karaline.

He enjoyed his coffee, country drives while listening to music, horror movies and snacking on popcorn. He loved whitewater rafting in Colorado. He was an avid collector of antiques, coins and all things Budweiser.

In addition to his wife, June, he is survived by four children, Trenton Snapp (Kayla), of California, Colby Snapp (Kimi), of Smithton, Chelsie Snapp, of Chillicothe and Tiarra Snapp, of Sedalia; ten siblings, Tammy Jo Stout and LaDonna Klein, both of Sedalia, Rhonda Brown (Mike), of Smithton, Ventra Watts, of Grain Valley, Kay Dollinger, of Hallsville, Bridgett Marcum, Monica Hudson, Cory Snapp, Justin Snapp (Becky) and Shannon Snapp (Ginger), all of Sedalia; and one granddaughter, Karaline.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Randy Snapp and Tracy Snapp.

Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, August 5, 2021 at Heckart Funeral Home with Rev. Jeff Randleman officiating. Pallbearers will be Eric Blackburn, Ray Marcum, Daren Leicher, Chris Harvey, Bruce Briggs and Jeremy Snapp. Honorary pallbearers will be Karaline Snapp, Shannon Snapp, Justin Snapp and Cory Snapp.

Burial will be in Smithton Cemetery.

Visitation will be 5:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 4, 2021 at the funeral home.
