James W. Bullock

James Warren Bullock, 78, of Sedalia, passed away Tuesday, October 27, 2026, at his home.

James was born on July 19, 1948, in Nebraska, a son of Joseph Lawton Bullock, Jr. and Lorita Lee (Finley) Bullock. He graduated from Santee High School in Santee, California.

On October 9, 2003, in California, he married Moniqua “Nicky” Garner, who survives of the home.

James worked as a truck driver for Rival Manufacturing for 20 years. He was happiest outdoors and could often be found tinkering in the garage or working in the yard. He enjoyed watching westerns and listening to music, especially Johnny Cash. Above all, he loved spending time with his children and grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife Nicky of 23 years; two daughters, Brandy Garrison (Lee) of Sedalia, MO, Sheri Welschmeyer (Gary) of Sweet Springs, MO; two stepchildren, Stephanie Salmons of Sedalia, and Robert Salmons, Jr. of Lincoln, MO; one sister Jodee Bullock of Oklahoma; eight grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.

In addition to both of his parents he was preceded in death by one infant son; one stepson, Christopher Salmons; one brother, Johnny Bullock.

Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 1, 2026, at Heckart Funeral Home in Sedalia. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Donor’s Choice.
