Jack C. Speaker

Jack C. Speaker, 87, of Sedalia, passed away Saturday, June 22, 2024 at Sylvia G. Thompson Residence Center. 

He was born July 29, 1936 in Florence, MO, a son of Neal F. and Minnie M. (Carver) Speaker. On February 18, 1967 at the Bethlehem Baptist Church in Florence, he married Carolyn F. Allen who survives of the home. 

Jack was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church and the Cement Mason Local 351 in Kansas City, MO. He worked many years as a cement mason owning and operating his own business. Jack enjoyed wood working, gardening and spending time with his family. 

In addition to his wife Carolyn of 57 years, survivors include, two daughters, Angela Charles (Gary) of La Monte, MO, Tamara Crum of Hughesville, MO; one granddaughter, Sara Nicholson (Jared) and one great-granddaughter, Ava Nicholson. 

In addition to both of his parents he was preceded in death by one infant sister, Margie Speaker; and one son-in-law Danny Crum. 

Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 26, 2024 at the Bethlehem Baptist Cemetery in Florence. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Bethlehem Baptist Cemetery. Arrangements are in the care of Heckart Funeral Home in Sedalia.
