J.D. Bishop
John Douglas “JD” Bishop, 49, of Bunceton, MO, passed away Monday, August 8, 2022 surrounded by family at University Hospital in Columbia.
He was born July 17, 1973, son of William Gene Bishop, Sr. and Norma Jean (Argenbright) Bishop.
JD enjoyed hunting, fishing, softball, mowing and spending all his spare time with his children and grandkids. JD always put everyone’s needs before his own. He was a dedicated, hardworking, loving man, and a very supportive brother.
Surviving are his three children, Tyler Bishop, of Marshall, Autumn Bishop, of California, MO and Megan Bishop, of Bunceton, MO; two grandchildren, Zadie and Keegan; his father, William Bishop, Sr., of California, MO; two brothers, Tony Bishop (Mindy), of Boonville, MO and David Bishop (Amber), of Fayette, MO; two sisters, Lindsey Ridgeway (Robert), of Boonville, MO, and Haley Bishop, of California, MO; six nieces and nephews; and one great nephew.
He was preceded in death by his mother; and a brother, Billy Bishop.
A Celebration of Life will be held beginning at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, August 20, 2022, at the Clifton City Community Building.
