Helen F. Mahnken

Helen Frances Mahnken, 74, died August 29th, 2021 after a long struggle with a degenerative neurological condition, with her family by her side in Springfield, MO.

She graduated from Smithton High School in 1965. She was united in marriage to Eugene Mahnken on June 5

Helen worked for many years as the school secretary at Smithton elementary school. In this role, she interacted with almost every family in the community. Helen concluded her working life with many years of service in the purchasing department at Duke Mfg.

Helen’s primary interest was her family.  She devoted much of her time and energy to ensuring the development and well-being of her sons and grandchildren.
