Harold Dale Huddleston, Jr.

Harold “Dale” Huddleston Jr., 62, of Stover, passed Sunday August 9th, at his home.

He was born June 7th, 1958, in Jefferson City, son of Harold and Phyllis (Hirst) Huddleston.

Dale is preceded in death by his: father, Harold Huddleston, Sr; mother, Phyllis Fern (Hirst); brother, Kenneth A. Huddleston; paternal grandparents, Golfry (Golf) and Edith (Markle) Huddleston and Fern (Burks) Huddleston; maternal grandparents, Vest and Lucille Fern (McGill) Hirst.

He leaves behind three sisters: Glenda Huddleston Hultz, E. Annette Huddleston Meyer (Frank) and Laura Frances Huddleston; two beautiful daughters: Tara Huddleston Barbour (Bryan) and Amber Rose Huddleston; two hard working sons: Lucas Dale Huddleston (Alexandra) and Samuel Brady Huddleston; five grandsons: Kolten, McKayne, Jaylen, Lawson and Lucas; and two granddaughters: Danielle and Riley. He is also celebrated by many Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and loved by numerous nieces and nephews.

Dale, or “Huggie”, for which most referred to him, will be missed for many reasons. His laugh and his hugs to start. His ‘darn’ hush puppies and uncanny ability to fry fish. Dale was a storyteller and enjoyed good company and music; often very loud music. He always had a good tune for you to listen to. He loved to watch Nascar, go fishing and often spoke about his hunting trips with his father in Colorado. He worked for the Railroad and trucked for many years. Dale was an avid reader and a lucky partner to have on the dance floor. One of a kind seems quite cliche for all who knew him, for “Huggie” was his own. He will be missed and remembered by so many.

Per his request there shall be no services. There will be a Celebration of Life at a later date for all his rowdy friends.
