Gary Lee Asbury

Gary Lee Asbury, 76, of Sedalia, passed away June 26, 2026.

He was born July 19, 1949, in Boonville, son of the late Donald Earl and Mary Juanita (Brower) Asbury. On May 10, 1968, in Sedalia, he married Betica Bain who preceded him in death on February 10, 2009.

Gary was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church and worked at Pittsburgh Corning for 37 years before retiring. He was a man who lived simply, worked hard, and was a devoted father and provider for his family.

Survivors include three sons, Kenny Asbury (Aubrey), of Kansas City, Kurt Asbury and Kyle Asbury (Shawna), all of Sedalia; a daughter, Angie Asbury, of Sedalia; two sisters, Donna Jahn and Debbie Marcum, both of Sedalia; eight grandchildren, Niklas Pierce, Sully Asbury, Nick Asbury, Kaden Asbury, Karsen Asbury, Kaysen Asbury, Kaylee Asbury and Tayler Asbury; and seven great-grandchildren, Brielle, Ava, Kingston, Arionna, Amiyah, Keyaire and Baylee.

In addition to his wife and parents, Gary was preceded in death by a brother, Larry Asbury.
