Everett D. Monteer

Everett D. Monteer, 64, of Sedalia, passed away Sunday, December 28, 2025, at Bothwell Regional Health Center.

He was born July 19, 1961, in Milan, Missouri, the son of the late Willis and Gertie (Whittle) Monteer.

Everett worked a variety of jobs throughout his lifetime, including positions at Rival Manufacturing, Bandag, in construction, logging, and later at Warehouse Tire, where he worked until his health declined.

He enjoyed camping and was an avid league pool player. Everett loved socializing and spending time with his family and friends. He preferred to stay busy and was always willing to lend a helping hand.

Everett is survived by his longtime companion, Lisa Monteer, of Sedalia; three children, Tiffiney D. Monteer, of Sedalia, Kyle Drexler (Kelly), of Kansas City, and Austin D. Monteer (Sonya), of Sedalia; two brothers, Larry Monteer (Wendy), of Chillicothe, and Earl Monteer (Vanessa), of Cole Camp; four grandchildren, Mariah Proctor, Sophia Monteer, Tyson Jones, and Eleanor Monteer; along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by six siblings, Madeline Lawson, Willa Mae Tunnel Lowrey, Frances Tucker, Milford Monteer, Loran Monteer and Winford Monteer.

A visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to Noon on Saturday, January 3, 2026, at Heckart Funeral Home.
