Evelyn Marie Privett, age 98, Sedalia, MO, passed away peacefully on May 24, 2026, at Primrose Retirement Community.
She was born on October 4, 1927, to Claude Elot Huffman and Novella Victoria Kelley Huffman. She was one of six children.
Preceding her in death were her parents, her brothers: Jack, Gordon, and Roy Huffman; her husbands: Russell Fisher, George McReynolds, and Jim Privett, and her grandson Justin Alan Fisher.
She is survived by two sisters: Patricia Allen Proctor, Sedalia, MO, and Loretta Huffman Willcuts, Leander, TX; three children: Richard Dean Fisher (Alberta), Sidney, NE, Claudia Jane Fisher Parker (Steve), Prairie Village, KS, and Samuel Eugene Fisher (Eileen), Spurger, TX.
Her surviving grandchildren are: Theresa Reimers (Bryan), Dalton, NE; Evelyn Fisher, Ellis, KS; Melanie Armbruster (Brandon), Ellis, KS; Rachel Granatino (Frank), Leawood, KS; Melinda Gallagher (Sean), Oakland, CA and Sabrina Fisher, Las Vegas, NV.
She is also survived by eight great grandchildren: Justin Reimers (Geena), Dalton, NE; Jeremy Reimers (Carissa), Dalton, NE; Joshua Reimers (Katie), Eaton, CO; Kobe Armbruster (Rachel), Ellis, KS and Kaden Armbruster, Ellis, KS.; Benjamin Granatino, Leawood, KS and Thomas Granatino, Leawood, KS; Bryah Gallagher, Oakland, CA.
Also included in her loving family are five great-great grandchildren: Jonathon, Tucker, Jaxx, Hattie and Rori; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Evelyn had several jobs throughout her life but her most recent one was as Manager of the Townhouse Apartments in Sedalia along with her husband Jim Privett.
No funeral is planned but a Celebration of Life service will be held at the Graveside at Memorial Park Cemetery on May 29, 2026, at 11:00 AM. Visitation will be prior to the graveside service any time before 10:35 AM on that day. Everyone is asked to meet at Heckart Funeral Home, 903 S. Ohio in Sedalia to follow the hearse to the cemetery.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the American Cancer Society.
