Evelyn Marie Watson, 83, of Sedalia, passed away Tuesday, September 25, 2018, at Fair View Nursing Home.
She was born December 26, 1934, in Falls City, NE, daughter of Glen A. and Dorothy G. (Harmon) Reckard.
On May 22, 1954, she married Billy L. Watson, who preceded her in death on June 25, 2016.
Evelyn’s life was devoted to her family and her Lord. As a child, she walked to church, and church continued to be a priority throughout her life. She played piano at many churches. She was currently a member of East Sedalia Baptist Church.
Surviving are three sons, Marty Watson (Luella), Keith Watson, and Roger Watson (Kerri), all of Lincoln, NE; daughter-in-law, Gail Watson, of Richmond, MO; five grandchildren, Barbara, Alexis, Kirstie, Spencer and Sam; and two great-granddaughters, Grace and Bethany.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Richard Watson; and a grandson, Alex.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, October 1, at Heckart Funeral Home, with Jeff Page officiating.
Burial will be in Crown Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until service time Monday at the funeral home.
