Eugene Samuel Kropf

Eugene Samuel Kropf, son of Joe and Alice Kropf, was born August 10, 1943.

He passed away Sunday evening, September 6, 2026, at his home near Hughesville, MO, at the age of 83 years and 27 days.

Eugene was united in marriage to Luella May Knox on June 23, 1963. They shared the joys and sorrows of married life for over 63 years.

To this union were born seven sons and five daughters: Roy and wife Julie of Sedalia, MO; Roger (deceased) and wife Mary of Hughesville, MO; Robert and wife Colleen of Sedalia, MO; Andy and wife Susanne of Sedalia, MO; Joel and wife Teresa of Lorimor, IA; Gene and wife Karla of Sedalia, MO; and Jim and wife Josi of Sedalia, MO; Ellen, Mrs. Jeff Eigsti of Blue River, WI; Elsie, Mrs. Dale Shrock of Sedalia, MO; Anna, Mrs. Roland Hostetler of Crawford, CO; Alice, Mrs. Marion Hostetler of Otterville, MO; and Arlene, Mrs. Arlyn Swartzentruber of Hughesville, MO.

He served as senior bishop for many years at Olive Hill Amish Mennonite Church.

He was a lifelong farmer, helping his sons with their poultry farm in his later years, as long as he was able.

He will be greatly missed by his large family of 93 grandchildren and 118 great-grandchildren.

Visitation: Wednesday, September 9, 2026, from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 6 to 8 p.m.

Funeral: Thursday, September 10, 2026, at 10 a.m.
