Elizabeth Louise Dietzman Nelson, 79, of Sedalia, passed away Wednesday, March 9, 2022 at her home.

She was born June 12, 1942, in rural Pettis County, a daughter of the late Raymond and Pearl Gertrude (Phillips) Meyers. On March 25, 2003, in Sedalia, she married Larry Reed Nelson, who preceded her in death on October 15, 2021.

Elizabeth worked in housekeeping at Tyson’s. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

She enjoyed her children and grandchildren and dancing every Friday night. She loved animals.

Survivors include three daughters, Terry Zaremba, of Sedalia, Tammie Dotson (Rick), of Mora and Tricia Dietzman Ulmer (Tony), of Sedalia; two sisters, Barbara Wilson, of Conway, and Lillie Monteer, of Sedalia; two brothers, Roger Meyers and Jackie Meyers, both of Sedalia; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Patricia Dietzman; two sons, Ronald Dietzman and Randy Dietzman; a brother, Raymond Meyers, Jr.; two sisters, Ruth Holman and Alice Cramer; son-in-law, Zack Zaremba; one grandson; and five great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 12, 2022 at Crown Hill Cemetery with Rev. Donnie Hayworth officiating.

Honorary pallbearers will be Zack, Josh, Melissa, Jon, Chelsea, Kevin, Kristie, Daniel, Amanda and Randi.

Visitation will be 1:00 p.m.-1:30 p.m. prior to the graveside service at Heckart Funeral Home.

Memorial contributions are suggested to the Sedalia Animal Shelter in care of the funeral home.
