Donnie R. Lee

Donnie Ray Lee, 73, of Ivy Bend, passed away Friday, October 27, 2023, at his daughter’s home in Sedalia.

He was born June 11, 1950, in Sedalia, son of Charles Alonzo Milton Lee and Agnes Elaine (Hall) Lee.

On July 4, 2008, in Stover, he was married to Teresa Coughlin, who preceded him in death on November 30, 2022.

Donnie was a graduate of La Monte High School. He worked as a mechanic for Bill Greer Ford and also had his own shop in La Monte for a while.

He was baptized at La Monte Baptist Church and attended church in Ivy Bend.

He enjoyed fishing, boating, riding his Goldwing, and spending time with his family and friends, especially at fish frys and cookouts. Donnie would do anything for anybody. He will be greatly missed.

Surviving are four children, Donna Wirtz (David), of Sedalia, Tammy Lee (Larry), of Sedalia, Donnie Lee (fiancé, Dawn), of Warsaw, Michael Disney (Kat), of Prairie Grove, AR; 13 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; twin sister, Bonnie Minor, of La Monte; sister, Wanda Mae Sawyer, of Stover; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by two grandchildren, Jonathan Ead and Tiffany Howe; a great-grandson, Corbin Pummill; sister, Julia Hathaway; and stepson, Brian Disney.

Memorial services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 1, 2023, at Heckart Funeral Home, where the family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until service time.

Memorials are suggested to Hope Lodge of Kansas City.
