Donna Lee Fields, 76, of Sedalia, passed away Tuesday, October 25, 2022 at Sylvia G. Thompson Residence Center.

She was born November 19, 1945, in Coffeyville, KS, daughter of the late Otis and Isabelle (Casto) Brock, Sr. On March 8, 1968, she married John Pete Engles and to this union were born three children, Keri, Kelli and John Kurt. They divorced and Mr. Engles passed away January 31, 2010. On September 24, 1983, she married Charles Thomas “Tom” Fields, who preceded her in death on November 3, 1998.

Donna worked in manufacturing for several years. She applied and was accepted into the nursing program at State Fair Community College and earned her LPN in 1979. She worked in PCU at Bothwell Regional Health Center. After she retired from Bothwell, she worked part time at Katy Trail Health Clinic until her health declined.

Donna was a member of First United Methodist Church. She enjoyed photography and was a member of the Camera Club of Cole Camp. She also enjoyed genealogy, sewing, baking, quilting, basket weaving, fishing and traveling. In her earlier years, she was a member of the 50/50 CB Club and went by the handle “Delta Dawn”.

Survivors include her three children, Keri Dominguez (Paul), of Sparta, Kelli Rath (Mike), of Lincoln and John Kurt Engles (Brandie), of Sedalia; her companion of 22 years, Gene Lefevers, of Sedalia; two brothers, Otis Brock, Jr. (Sherrill), of Sedalia and Kenneth Brock (Maria), of Texas; ten grandchildren, Heather Springer (Tim), Justin Dominguez (Erin), Dominque Dominguez, Adam Dominguez, Payton Gresham (Jordan), Bailey Libeer (Jimmy), Hayden Rath (Brandi), Octavia Caballero (Christopher), Trinity Engles (Nathaniel) and Mackenzie Engles; 11 great-grandchildren, Mason Durham, Dakota Durham, Brock Springer, Myla Pannell, Mia Dominguez, Jackson Gresham, Jayden Gresham, Asher Gresham, Kolton Libeer, Macy Siefkas, and Jackie Rath who is expected to arrive March 2023; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Saturday, October 29, 2022 at Heckart Funeral Home with Rev. Candace Fowler officiating.

Pallbearers will be Justin Dominguez, Dominque Dominguez, Tim Springer, Jordan Gresham, Jimmy Libeer and Hayden Rath.

Burial will be in Millers Chapel Cemetery.

Visitation will be 1:00 pm until service time at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions are suggested to First United Methodist Church in care of the funeral home.

Arrangements are under the direction of Heckart Funeral Home.
