Donald Keith “Barney” Puffinbarger
Donald Keith “Barney” Puffinbarger, 55, of Sedalia, passed away Wednesday, October 19, 2022 at Centerpoint Medical Center in Independence.
He was born September 23, 1967, in Ottumwa, IA, son of the late Larry and Judith (McQuate) Puffinbarger.
Barney was raised and educated in Bloomfield, IA. He moved to Mojave, CA and resided there for several years before moving to Sedalia.
He was a member of the American Legion. Barney loved riding his trike motorcycle, restoring old cars, played bass guitar in a band and loved spending time with friends and family.
Survivors include a sister, Serenna Thornton, of Sedalia; a niece, Angel Hale (Steven), of Overland Park, KS; a nephew, Glenn Thornton, of Sedalia; a great-nephew, Maverick Hale; two aunts, Connie Baldwin (Galen), of Livonia and Janet Vaughn, of Ashland, OH; and an uncle, Jack Puffinbarger, of Eldon.
A Celebration of Barney’s Life will be held 1pm to 4pm Sunday, October 30, 2022 at American Legion Post 642, 2016 W. Main Street in Sedalia.
Arrangements are under the direction of Heckart Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
