Donald Paul Cook, 78, of Otterville, Missouri, passed away on Sunday, June 2, 2024, at University of Missouri Hospital in Columbia.

He was born July 6, 1945, in Port Allegheny PA, son of Joseph H Cook and Bernetta Cook.

Don operated a semi-truck and heavy equipment and was superintendent of the Cooper County Road Department. He enjoyed chainsaws, hunting, and fishing. He was a veteran of the United States Marines, reaching the rank of Sergeant. He was a member of Local 101 Operators Union and the VFW. In 1980, he took first place in the Budweiser Spoonbill Snagging Tournament. Don had an unquestionable love for his friends and family and would do anything for them. 

Surviving are: Michael Cook (Brother), Mary-Lue Fowler (Sister), Ebbin Cook (Son), and Christopher Cook (Grandson).

He was preceded in death by: Joseph F. Cook (Brother), and Patricia Pummill (Sister).

Memorial services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, June 15, 2024, at Heckart Funeral Home, where the family will receive friends from 9:30 a.m. until service time.

Memorial contributions are suggested to Sedalia Animal Shelter.
