Della Lucille Waterfield, 90, of Sedalia, died on Sunday, April 28, 2024 at Loving Arms Memory Care in Sedalia, MO.
She was born in Sedalia on January 23, 1934, the daughter of Leo and Elsie (Coffman) Schrader. Della and Donald Waterfield were united in marriage on September 17, 1951. Donald preceded Della in death in 2001.
Della was raised in Sedalia. She was a homemaker most of her life, and the caregiver for her daughter, Dianna. Della loved working in her garden. Her flowers and sewing were her pride and joy. Della was a member of the Lady of the Moose and the Eastern Star Chapter 57 for over 30 years.
Della is survived by two daughters, Dixie L. Shappat and Dianna Lynn Waterfield; 8 grandchildren, and several great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, Della was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Donald W. Waterfield, Jr.; her brother, Donald W. Schrader; her Uncle and Aunt, Kenneth and Flora Schrader, who were like her Dad and Mom and her favorite grandson, Dustin Lyn Waterfield, who died on March 29, 2009. Della has departed to make her appointment with her husband and grandson. She has plans to be with them and see the places and things Dustin has seen.
A private burial was held at Crown Hill Cemetery.
