Debra Williams of Green Ridge went home to be with Jesus on June 4, 2025.
She leaves behind two sons, Joshua Rowe (Michele), of Independence, and Tollie Rowe (Nicole), of Sedalia; one step-daughter, Jennifer McClanahand (Chris), of Fredericktown; five grandchildren, Alexa and Nate Grissom, Lizzie Crouch, Adam Rowe, and Ryder McClanahand; one sister, Sandra White (Joe), of Kansas City; one brother, Paul Peterman (Kristi), of Liberty; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded by parents, John and Arnola Peterman; her husband, Dan Williams; and one sister, Cynthia Richardson.
Debra was born in Sedalia on April 4, 1952. She graduated from Smith-Cotton High School, received an associate’s degree from State Fair Community College, and bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Central Missouri State University.
She married Dan, the love of her life and soul mate, on August 12, 2000, in Sedalia.
Her children and grandchildren always brought a smile to her face and warmed her heart.
She was a member of Sedalia Altrusa, the Sedalia Area Literacy Council, and Our Savior Lutheran Church.
Debra was the director of the GED program at State Fair Community College and was an avid supporter of the college. She also directed, produced, stage-managed, and performed in many plays and musicals at the Liberty Center. She loved to read.
The family will receive friends beginning at 1:00 p.m. Monday, June 23, 2025, at Parkview Christian Church, where memorial services will begin at 2:00 p.m.
Honorary pallbearers will be her grandchildren: Alexa, Nate, Lizzie, Adam, and Ryder.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to C.A.C.T.U.S. or Sedalia Area Literacy Council.
Arrangements are in the care of Heckart Funeral Home.
